Coimbatore : Expressing his strong condemnation on the Pollachi sexual extortion case, E R Eswaran, General Secretary of the Kongunadu Makkal Desia Katchi party (KMDK) has questioned the ruling AIADMK government on the reason for protecting criminals involved in abusing women.
He also questioned how the State government could act so lethargically, even though these women were from their own fraternity and belonging to homes of big industrialists were forced into such brutal abuse.
"Offence of this nature should not be dealt passively but dealt with an iron hand. None of the offenders should be allowed to escape," reiterated E R Eswaran. He also opined that by being supportive to the accused involved in the incident, the State government should not earn the curses of the affected women which will haunt them.
